About the Festival
MiraBan UK Film Awards (MUFA) is a British, London-based, IMDb Qualifying Film Festival focused on diversity in auteur movies.
Member of Film Hub London and winner of the BFI FAN Film Exhibition Fund, MUFA provides a spotlight for under-represented, emerging, and experienced independent filmmakers.
MUFA is a curated public festival listed on the British Council Festival Directory.

Based in London, MiraBan Arts & Entertainment specialises in promoting underground cinema and independent, diversity-driven, international film events. Our passion for bold and thought-provoking cinema has led us to showcase some of the most innovative and exciting independent movies from around the world.
We work as a bridge from the festival circuit to film distribution, ensuring that independent filmmakers reach a wider audience thanks to meaningful partnerships with Independent Streaming Platforms (WeShort, StreamAuteur), and fellow independent BIFA Qualifying film festivals (e.g. Edinburgh Short Film Festival).
This year, we have launched a brand new online film course to empower filmmakers with the knowledge and information necessary to navigate the independent film industry, film market, equity funding, festival arena, and distribution.
