We welcome independent writers, directors, and producers worldwide to apply for funding to cover Production, Post-Production, or Distribution costs.

Our passion for bold and thought-provoking cinema has led us to showcase some of the most innovative and exciting independent movies from around the world.

We bridge the gap between the festival circuit and film distribution, helping independent filmmakers reach a wider audience through strategic partnerships with Independent Streaming Platforms and international festival events, among which BIFA Qualifying film festivals.

This year, we have launched a brand new online film course to empower filmmakers with the knowledge and information necessary to navigate the independent film industry, film market, equity funding, festival arena, and distribution.

MiraBan UK Film Awards (MUFA) is a British, BFI Film Fund-winning film festival, London-based, focused on showcasing diversity in auteur movies.

Member of Film Hub London and winner of the BFI FAN Film Exhibition Fund, MUFA provides a spotlight for under-represented, emerging, and experienced independent filmmakers.

MUFA is a curated public festival listed on the British Council Festival Directory.
